Enabling the agent to operate in on-prem mode.

The steps in this procedure are applicable if you are moving from using F1E DLP to F1A current version or if you are moving from a previous version of F1A to the current version of F1A.

Steps

  1. Connect to the Forcepoint Security Manager using the command line interface or directly to the server via remote desktop.
  2. Navigate to the C:\Program Files (x86)\Websense\Data Security\client.
  3. Download the files: ca.cer and localConfig.xml from Forcepoint Security Manager.
  4. Next, log in to Forcepoint ONE Data Security portal.
  5. Navigate to Endpoint Management > Profiles.
  6. Click on Default profile.
  7. On the profile editor window, navigate to Data Protection section.
  8. Ensure to select On-Prem under Managed by: field to make the file upload fields visible.
  9. Browse and upload the files ca.cer and localConfig.xml.
  10. Click Save.
