Install Forcepoint ONE Data Security Agent using Forcepoint Cloud Security Gateway on macOS

Install Forcepoint ONE Data Security Agent using Forcepoint Cloud Security Gateway on macOS endpoints. Forcepoint ONE Data Security is a cloud-managed endpoint that runs on both Windows and Mac.

Install the Forcepoint ONE Data Security Agent using the installer, downloaded from the Forcepoint Cloud Security Gateway portal.

Steps

  1. Unzip the installer downloaded.
  2. Double-click the neo_installer.pkg will initiate the installation process.
  3. During the installation, the Profiles window will open and ask that you continue the installation.
  4. Click Install on the top right-hand corner of this window.
  5. Once the Forcepoint ONE Data Security Agent is fully installed, specific permissions will need to be given to the agent.
  6. To modify these permissions, navigate to System Preferences > Forcepoint ONE Data Security.
  7. Click on settings cog will take you to the required locations to permit the service.
  8. Once all icons have turned green, the Endpoint has the needed permissions and is ready to use.
    Note: If needed, refresh the System Preferences window to see the Forcepoint ONE Data Security icon.
  9. Once the installation is complete, the Forcepoint ONE Data Security finder Bar icon is visible:
  10. With Forcepoint ONE Data Security Agent, there will always be a local PAC file configured in the system. Example PAC URL: http://localhost:1024/__fp__pac__/2021-09-12_15-24-04/proxy.pac
