Install Forcepoint Data Security Agent using Forcepoint Cloud Security Gateway on Windows

Install the Forcepoint Data Security Agent using Forcepoint Cloud Security Gateway on Windows endpoints. The is a Forcepoint Data Security Agent cloud-managed endpoint that runs on both Windows and Mac.

Install the Forcepoint Data Security Agent using the installer, downloaded from the Forcepoint Cloud Security Gateway portal.

Steps

  1. Unzip the installer downloaded.
  2. Double-click the Installer.exe will initiate a silent installation process.
  3. The installation process takes 30 seconds approximately, once the installation is complete, the icon can be found on the system tray.
  4. To verify successful installation:
    1. Verify the Forcepoint Data Security Agent endpoint installation logs in the following path: C:\ProgramData\Forcepoint.
    2. The successful install logs from neo_install.log.
    3. The following services will be installed:
      • Forcepoint ONE Data Security Common Service
      • Forcepoint ONE Data Security Network Service
      • Forcepoint ONE Data Security Protection Service
  5. The web-only Forcepoint ONE Data Security Agent screen:
  6. With Forcepoint ONE Data Security agent, there will always be a local PAC file configured in the system. Example PAC URL: http://localhost:1024/__fp__pac__/2021-09-12_15-24-04/proxy.pac
