1.   INTRODUCTION

The Classifier suite of products delivers the ability to apply relevant visual and electronic Labels or Markings to messages and documents. The Classifier products uses common configuration data and administration mechanisms to provide the ability to define, deploy and apply Markings to documents and mail messages with the additional capability to perform checks when sending mail messages using centrally administered clearances. This document gives an overview of the documentation for Classifier suite.

2.   DOCUMENTATION IN THIS RELEASE

The Classifier Suite includes the following user guides:

• Deployment
• Registry Keys Deployment and Troubleshooting Guide - describes the registry keys that are required for deploying Classifier software and associated labelling configurations along with a Troubleshooting section. Classifier and its applications will reference certain registry keys during its operation.
• Planning Considerations Guide - describes the various steps and considerations from initial familiarisation through to live deployment of the Classifier products.
• Quick Start
• PowerShell Getting Started Guide - describes how to run the Administration Server using PowerShell commands. The module provides over two hundred cmdlets to fetch, create, modify or remove any aspect of the Classifier configuration.
• Classifier Administration Getting Started Guide - describes how to install the Administration Server, how to transition from Administration Console to the Administration Server, and run test configurations.
• Reference
• Classifier Administration Server User Guide - describes the various features and options supported by Email, Office, OWA, Mail Add-in, Notes and Mobile Classifier
(The Administration Guide is now called the Classifier Administration Server User Guide).
• File Classifier Guide - describes labelling of any file type through Windows File Explorer
• Frequently Asked Questions - provides answers to some commonly asked questions on the Classifier suite of products
• Mac Classifier Supplement Guide - describes Microsoft Office for Mac applications, namely Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, to provide features broadly similar to those offered by Office and Email Classifier for the Windows environment.
• Management Agent Guide - describes the component for Email and Office Classifier clients runs on the local system to provide: Classifier Configuration update monitoring through a single point of contact; additional control over the time of day/frequency of Classifier Configuration update checks; improved security of the locally held Classifier Configuration; and monitoring of Classifier Clients. It
• Mobile Classifier Service Installation Guide - describes the classification-enabled email app for popular mobile device platforms, including Android, iOS and Windows Phone 8.1. The user experience of classification mirrors that of the other Classifier products, including support for single-click classification and policy warnings.
• Notes Classifer Installation Guide - describes the client plug-in and server-side scripts which extend IBM Notes and IBM Domino Server. It is designed to interoperate with the Email Classifier and Office Classifier products.
• SharePoint Classifier Deployment Guide - describes how to deploy and manage the SharePoint Classifier software
• Power Classifier for Files Guide - describes bulk and automated labelling of files using either a Windows application or a set of PowerShell commands
• Power Classifier for SharePoint Guide - describes labelling of items in a SharePoint library through either a Windows application or a set of PowerShell commands
• Reporting Server User Guide - describes how to install, configure, and diagnose issues for the Reporting server and its components
• SharePoint Classifier Overview Guide - gives a broad description of SharePoint Classifier
• SharePoint Classifier Deployment Guide - explains how to install and deploy SharePoint Classifier

3.   ENHANCEMENTS/CHANGES TO DOCUMENTATION

The Evaluation Guide has been deprecated. The Getting Started Guide and Transition Guide have been rolled into the Classifier Administration Getting Started Guide. The following guides have been rebranded to Boldon James by HelpSystems for this release:

Changes to the Classifier Administration Server User Guide include how to:

• configure formatted text for User Message Library entries
• interoperate with Titus Classification
• configure icon in Labeller UI via Policy User Interface Settings
• configure the amount of time a tooltip stays on screen

The guide also describes the following changes in the UI:

• Updated Favourites label that includes a Date Picker selector value automatically updates to current date
• Updated Decision Tree feature to audit more events to the Window Event Log
• New conditions to:
• detect edited meeting responses
• run content check on Message Body
• run content check on message subject only
• detect new subject length
• detect file size
• obtain information on the actual originator of emails
