1.   INTRODUCTION

The Boldon James Classifier Administration Server package is a management toolset providing the ability to create a Labelling policy and define clearance values for users and remote email domains. The policy and clearances can then be used to control the operation of features within Boldon James Classifier applications such as Email Classifier and Office Classifier.

The Classifier Administration applications consist of:

• Classifier Administration Server
• PowerShell Administration

Classifier Administration Server

This is a Web Service that provides the ability to create a Labelling policy definition that can be stored in Active Directory or in a set of XML configuration files, or an IIS site.

The key benefits of the Server compared to the Classifier Administration Console are:-

• Centralized administration meaning having a single point of administration.
• Delegated administration meaning the ability to delegate specific tasks to a subset of administrators.
• Multi-User Access meaning more than one user can access the configuration at once.

PowerShell Administration

This is installed with Classifier Administration Server and allows you to do all the things you can do with Classifier Administration Server but through PowerShell. NOTE: To use this feature it must be licenced separately.

An evaluation copy of this software is licensed for evaluation purposes only. Use of the unregistered software beyond the evaluation period is expressly forbidden.
