1.   INTRODUCTION

Boldon James Classifier for Exchange 2016 allows you to apply Classifier policies to messages as they flow through the Exchange Transport pipeline.

2.1 Hardware

• Microsoft Exchange Server 2016 CU3 and above (Client Access Role)
• Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5
• Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5

3.   INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Before Installation

To install Exchange Classifier you will need local machine administrator privilege.

To enable the Exchange Classifier transport agent you will need to be an administrator of the Exchange Organisation.

Installation

Run the "Setup.exe" from the installation media which will launch the Windows Installer and follow the on screen instructions./p>

The software must be installed on every Exchange Hub Transport server in the organisation.

To perform a silent installation execute the following command:

msiexec /i "Exchange2016ClassifierSetup.msi" /qn

Post Installation

Before Exchange Classifier can be used it must be enabled via the 'Boldon James Exchange Classifier Shell' which can be found under 'Boldon James/Classifier for Exchange 2016' on the START menu. Within the shell you must run the '.\EnableExchangeClassifier2016.ps1' script which will register the Exchange Classifier Transport Agent and ask you if you want to re-start Exchange transport to load Exchange Classifier.

Uninstallation

Before uninstalling Exchange Classifier you must disable it. You do this via the 'Boldon James Exchange Classifier Shell' which can be found under 'Boldon James/Classifier for Exchange 2016' on the START menu. Within the shell you must run the '.\DisableExchangeClassifier.ps1' script which will unregister the Exchange Classifier Transport Agent and ask you if you want to re-start Exchange transport to unload Exchange Classifier.

Once Exchange Classifier is disabled you may uninstall it via 'Programs and Features' in Control Panel.
