1. INTRODUCTION

The Boldon James Exchange Classifier Administration package is a management toolset providing the ability to create a Labelling configuration for Exchange email domains.

Exchange Classifier Administration Console

This is a Microsoft Management Console (MMC) application that provides the ability to create a Labelling configuration definition that can be published to file store as a set of XML configuration files.

Licensing

An evaluation copy of this software is licensed for evaluation purposes only. Use of the unregistered software beyond the evaluation period is expressly forbidden. To obtain a fully functional registered copy of the software, contact Boldon James support using the details given at the end of this document.

3. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Before Installation

Users must be logged on with administrator privileges.

Users must first uninstall any previous Exchange Classifier Administration versions.

Installation

Run "setup.exe" from the installation media which will launch the Windows Installer and follow the on screen instructions.

Silent Installation

The software can be installed without displaying a user interface. This is possible using command line options.

The following table describes a sub-set of command-line options, which can assist silent installations:

For example, to perform a silent install displaying no user interface:

msiexec /i "ExchangeClassifierAdministration.msi" /qn

Upgrading from previous versions

To upgrade from a previous version follow these simple steps:

Uninstall the old version.
Install the new version.
Run the new version.
You will be prompted for a licence if your existing configuration doesn't include one.
For new customers, evaluation licences can be found on the Classifier Administration CD under the Contents\Licence folder:
Full licences can be obtained from Boldon James
Exchange Classifier licenses can be added through the Classifier Administration tool, under Global Settings -> Licence add in any level 3 or 4 licences you have.

Uninstalling

To un-install follow these simple steps:

Navigate to 'Control Panel' > 'Programs and Features'. The entry Exchange Classifier Administration appears in the list of installed programs. Select it and click 'un-install'. Confirm this operation when prompted and the product will be removed.

4. FURTHER INFORMATION

The user clearance MMC snapin is a 32 bit application. If this snapin is mixed with 64 bit only snapins format errors may occur when running the MMC.
It is recommended that only a single instance of the Exchange Classifier Admin Tool be run at once otherwise inconsistencies in the labelling configuration may occur.
