Initial release of Forcepoint Dynamic User Protection

Added 06-Oct-2020 Forcepoint is pleased to announce the initial release of Forcepoint Dynamic User Protection, a user activity monitoring solution designed to alert organizations of risky user behavior so they can protect data and reduce risks.

This release introduces the Dynamic User Protection solution:

  • The Dynamic User Protection cloud-based management console, which displays users prioritized by risk score level.
  • The Neo endpoint, which collects user data and computes risk scores by correlating user activities and DLP incidents.
  • Integration with Forcepoint DLP (version 8.8) to provide Risk-Adaptive DLP, in which Forcepoint DLP data is ingested into Forcepoint Dynamic User Protection to profile user risk. Forcepoint Dynamic User Protection feeds the risk score back into Forcepoint DLP, which in turn provides dynamic, risk-level based action based on each triggered policy rule.

Risk-Adaptive DLP requires that both Forcepoint DLP Endpoint and Neo be installed on your endpoint machines. You must download both the Forcepoint One Endpoint package builder from the Forcepoint Support site, and Neo from Forcepoint Dynamic User Protection.

If you plan to install Neo and one or more Forcepoint F1E agents on a Windows endpoint machine, they must be installed in the following order:
  1. Install the Forcepoint F1E agents through the package builder.
  2. Install Neo.

If you install Neo before Forcepoint F1E, then Forcepoint F1E might uninstall Neo if Forcepoint DLP Endpoint is not installed on the endpoint.
