Resolving an Invalid Credential Error

Correct a credential that AI Security has rejected, so that the connector can authenticate to the AI application again.

When you enter a credential that the AI application does not accept, the field is outlined in red and an error message appears below it. For example, an incorrect Claude key produces the message Invalid Compliance Access Key. Please verify and try again.

The connector keeps using its previous credential until you enter a valid replacement.

Steps

  1. Read the error message to identify which credential was rejected.

  2. Verify that you copied the credential in full, with no leading or trailing spaces.

  3. Verify that the credential is still valid in the AI application.

A credential can be rejected because it has expired, has been revoked, or has been rotated since you last used it.

  4. Verify that the credential belongs to the same organization or tenant as the connector.

  5. If the credential is no longer valid, generate a new one in the AI application.

  6. Enter the corrected credential in the Edit Connector panel.

  7. Select Update.

Result

The error message clears and the connector authenticates using the new credential.

Next steps

If the error persists after you enter a newly generated credential, check that the connector's account still has the permissions required to scan content in the AI application.
