Creating a Data Security Policy
Add a policy so that AI Security inspects your AI traffic for a kind of data it is not yet protecting.
Before you begin
You need an account that can create policies on the Forcepoint Data Security portal.
You start in AI Security and finish on the Data Security portal. Creating the policy takes two stages: the policy itself, then at least one rule to make it work.
Steps
-
Open the Data Security tab of the Policy page.
-
Select Add in DLP.
The Forcepoint Data Security portal opens with the Create Policy panel already open.
-
In Policy name, enter a name.
This name appears throughout AI Security, so make it describe what the policy protects. Existing policies are named after the regulation or data type they cover — for example India IT Act or Credit Cards.
-
Optional: Add a description and any tags you use.
-
Select Save.
The policy is created and appears in the policy list.
-
Add at least one rule to the policy.
Result
The policy exists on the Forcepoint Data Security portal and, once it has a rule, becomes available to AI Security.
