Editing an Agent
Change the name, connector access, owner, or token lifetime of an agent that is already registered.
Clicking an agent on the Agents tab opens the same panel used to register one, with the current configuration already filled in. Nothing changes until you save.
Two things cannot be changed here. The client ID is generated by the platform and is fixed. The client secret is issued once at registration and is not shown again, so if it has been lost the answer is to recover access rather than to edit the agent.
Steps
-
Go to Admin › Agent Management.
The Agents tab opens by default.
-
Find the agent you want to change.
Use Search agents if the list is long. The Owner and Connector access columns tell you what the agent currently has.
-
Click the agent.
The panel opens, showing the name and client ID of the agent, its connector access, and its token policy.
-
Check that the Agent Name field shows the agent you intended.
The panel opens from a row click, so this is the only confirmation that you have the right one.
-
Change what you need.
Agent Name is what appears in audit logs, so renaming an agent changes how it is identified in future records.
Connector access sets which gateway connectors the agent may reach. Use the list to add one, or the remove icon on a chip to take one away.
Owner sets who is accountable for the agent.
Token TTL sets how long the token of the agent stays valid.
-
Click Update.
The panel closes and the change is saved.
Result
The agent keeps its client ID and its credentials, and continues to work with the configuration you have just set.
