Generating OpenAI Credentials for ChatGPT

Generate an administrator key in your OpenAI account so that AI Security can inspect ChatGPT interactions.

Before you begin

You need administrator access to your organization's OpenAI account. You cannot generate these credentials from Forcepoint Data Security Cloud.

AI Security uses this credential to read interaction data from your ChatGPT workspaces through the OpenAI administration API. Generate the credential before you open the Connect App panel.

Steps

Sign in to your OpenAI account as an administrator.
Open the settings for your organization.
Generate an administrator key for your organization.

Give the key a name that identifies its purpose, for example Forcepoint AI Security.
Copy the key and store it securely.

Important: OpenAI displays the key only once. If you lose it, you must generate a new key.

Result

You have an OpenAI administrator key that AI Security can use to connect to ChatGPT.
