Understanding Which Account Is Required to Grant OAuth Permissions
Confirm that you are signing in with an account that can grant the permissions a gateway connector needs.
Org-wide OAuth authorization grants AI Security permission to act in the business application on behalf of your whole organization. Only a System Administrator account can grant permissions at that scope.
An ordinary user account, even one with wide access to content, cannot complete the authorization. The sign-in appears to succeed but the permissions are not granted.
Steps
- Identify the business application the connector reaches.
- Confirm that you have a System Administrator account for that application.
- Confirm that the account has access to the content your agents need to reach.
- Use that account when you sign in to authorize the connector.
Result
You are signing in with an account that can grant the permissions the connector needs.
Next steps
If the connector remains in an awaiting authorization state after you sign in, the account you used may not have had sufficient rights.
