Resolving an Awaiting Authorisation Status

Complete the authorization for a gateway connector that is configured but not yet permitted to reach the business application.

The Awaiting Authorisation message means the connector has been configured for org-wide OAuth but the sign-in has not been completed. Until it is, the connector cannot reach the business application and your agents cannot use its tools.

The status persists if the sign-in was cancelled, if the browser window was closed before permissions were granted, or if the account used did not have sufficient rights.

Steps

  1. Open the Manage connector panel for the gateway connector.

  2. Expand Authentication.

  3. Confirm that Org-Wide is selected as the authentication method and that the type is set to OAuth.

  4. Confirm that you are signed in to the business application with a System Administrator account.

If you are signed in with a different account, sign out of the business application before you continue.

  5. Select the sign-in option shown below the Awaiting Authorisation message.

  6. Grant the requested permissions.

  7. Select Save.

  8. Confirm that the Awaiting Authorisation message no longer appears.

Result

The connector is authorized and its tools are available to your registered agents.

Next steps

If the message returns after a period of normal operation, the permissions granted to the connector may have been changed or revoked in the business application. Authorize the connector again.
