Using Forcepoint ONE Mobile

After successfully installing Forcepoint ONE Mobile on the end users' devices, a Forcepoint icon labeled FONE Mobile will be displayed on the user's mobile devices.

The user must click the icon to start the solution. Once started, the solution will register with the system and begin to govern the device’s outbound communications. Internet communications will be restricted until the user successfully logs into the system.

For more details about types of user authentication, see the User Authentication section under Configuring Forcepoint ONE Mobile.

The Forcepoint ONE Mobile solution has the following screens:
1
The Home tab is the solution's default screen. Users will see different screens based on the configuration settings as follows:
  • The home screen with a toggle button. The toggle button allows the end user to turn the inspection service on or off. The stopwatch indicates the duration of a protected connection session.

  • The home screen without a toggle button. The stopwatch indicates the duration of a protected connection session.

The Forcepoint ONE Mobile solution displays the following status:
Forcepoint ONE Mobile solution status Description
This status indicates that the solution is connected to the Forcepoint ONE cloud and actively sending web traffic for inspection.
This status indicates that the solution lost connection to the Forcepoint ONE cloud due to a network or cloud issue. If configured to do so, traffic will Fail Open.
This status is available when the VPN toggle button is present (via configuration, thus allowing the user to turn the inspection on/off) and the user has switched the inspection to Off.
A network or cloud issue caused the solution to fail to register with the cloud service. Users will need to tap Retry to register. The solution will restrict all other communication until registered.
Manual login use case only. The user entered incorrect login credentials and must tap Retry to log in again.

For more details, see the Display VPN On/Off Toggle section from Configuring Forcepoint ONE Mobile.
