SharePoint tasks
Forcepoint DLP can perform discovery on sites running the following versions of Microsoft SharePoint:
- Microsoft SharePoint 2007
- Microsoft SharePoint 2010
- Microsoft SharePoint 2013
- Microsoft SharePoint 2016
- Microsoft SharePoint 2019
- Microsoft SharePoint Online (Office 365)
The wizard for creating SharePoint discovery tasks has 8 pages. It opens to the
General page:
- Enter a Name for this discovery task.
- Enter a Description for the discovery task.
- Select the Crawler to use to perform the scan. Typically, this is the crawler that is located in closest proximity to the SharePoint server.
- Under Data Storage, indicate where your data is located:
- Select Local to perform discovery on a local or network SharePoint server.
- Select Online to perform discovery on data residing in the cloud via SharePoint Online for Office 365.
- Click Next, then continue with SharePoint Discovery Task Wizard - Site Root.
