Before you begin
Forcepoint Security Manager communicates with your organization’s SQL Server database. It is recommended to implement SSL encryption for these communications to increase the level of security in
the SQL database. Use the following steps to enable the encrypted connection.
Steps

From the Windows Start menu, click Forcepoint Security Setup.
The Forcepoint Security Setup Installer Dashboard displays. The Installer Dashboard stays on-screen during installation. Various subinstallers and dialog boxes are displayed over it.

From Forcepoint Management Infrastructure, click Modify.
The Forcepoint Management Infrastructure Setup wizard displays.

Click Next on the Welcome and Installation Directory screens.

On the SQL Server screen, mark the check box Encrypt connection and click Next.
- Complete the Forcepoint Management Infrastructure Setup wizard and click Finish.
If you have additional Forcepoint products installed, they must also be modified. All installed products display on the Forcepoint Security Setup Installer Dashboard.
- From Forcepoint Web Security, Forcepoint DLP, or Forcepoint Email Security, click Modify.
The relevant setup wizard displays.
- Repeat steps 3–5 for each Forcepoint product.

On the Forcepoint Security Installer Dashboard, click Close.
