Web protection distributed deployments and secure VPN connections

For URL lookup requests and replies, some firewalls allow administrators to set up a secure VPN connection between the remote-site firewalls and web protection components. Permitted requests then are fulfilled directly from the Internet, providing an optimum combination of speed and security. See the firewall documentation to determine if the firewall supports this capability.
