Forcepoint Management Server (Windows) Installation

Steps

  1. Extract the file Email-8.5.7-006.zip.
    Launch install_manager.bat or run it from the command-line prompt for automated installation. Alternatively, complete the following steps for manual installation.
  2. Use the Forcepoint Management Server default installation path (C:\Program Files(x86)\Websense) or your own installation path.
  3. Stop the Websense TRITON - Email Security Service and Websense Email Stunnel services as follows:
    1. Go to the Service Control Manager (Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services).
    2. Locate and stop the Websense TRITON - Email Security service.
    3. Locate and stop the Websense Email Stunnel service.
  4. Navigate to the following directory:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Websense\Email Security\ESG Manager\tomcat\esg\
    1. Rename the existing ConfigUI.war file to ConfigUI.war.pre-HF6.bak.
    2. Extract the WH-Manager-8.5.7-006.zip archive, then copy and paste the new ConfigUI.war file into this directory.
  5. Delete the following directories:
    • C:\Program Files (x86)\Websense\Email Security\ESG Manager\tomcat\webapps\esg
    • C:\Program Files (x86)\Websense\Email Security\ESG Manager\tomcat\work\Catalina
  6. Replace the Stunnel certificate:
    1. Rename the existing stunnel.pem file to stunnel.pem.bak.
    2. Copy stunnel.pem from the extracted hotfix folder Email-8.5.7-006 and paste it into the following directory: C:\Program Files (x86)\Websense\Email Security\ESG Log Server\bin\stunnel\config
  7. Start the Websense TRITON - Email Security and Websense Email Stunnel services as follows:
    1. Go to the Service Control Manager (Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services).
    2. Locate and start the Websense TRITON - Email Security service.
    3. Locate and start the Websense Email Stunnel service.
  8. Verify that the hotfix installed successfully by logging in to Forcepoint Security Manager.
