To introduce a new Master Secure SD-WAN Engine to the
SMC, add a Master Secure SD-WAN Engine element that stores the configuration information for the Master Secure SD-WAN Engine and Virtual Secure SD-WAN Engines.

Steps

In the Management Client, select
Configuration.

Right-click Engines and select .

Select the role for the Virtual Engines the Master Engine hosts, then click OK.
The Engine Editor opens.

In the
Name field, enter a unique name.

Select the
Log Server
to which the Master Secure SD-WAN Engine sends its log data.

(Optional) Define one or more
DNS IP Addresses.
These addresses are the IP addresses of the DNS servers that the Master
Secure SD-WAN Engine uses to resolve domain names. There are two ways to define IP addresses.
- To enter a single IP address manually, click
Add and select
IP Address. Enter the IP address in the dialog box that opens.
- To define an IP address using a network element, click Add and select Network Element.

Select the
Location for this Master Secure SD-WAN Engine if there is a NAT device between this Master Secure SD-WAN Engine and other
SMC components.

(Optional) If you do not need to use clustering on the Master Secure SD-WAN Engine:

In the navigation pane on the left, browse to
.

Select one of the nodes, then click
Remove Node.

When prompted to confirm that you want to delete the selected node, click
Yes.

Click
Save.
Do not close the Engine Editor.
