Backup configuration overview
Managing backups involves several main steps.
- Back up the Management Servers and Log Servers regularly or schedule backup tasks to run at regular intervals.
- Store the backup files in a safe location.
When you create backup files, you can save the files on the Management Server or on your local workstation. We recommend copying the backup files to a safe location, such as removable media or another host, for long-term storage.
- When necessary, restore a backup.
