Save monitoring snapshots

You can save snapshots of connections, block lists, VPN SAs, users, routing, SSL VPNs, and neighbors so that you can later view and compare them, or restore earlier versions of elements.

The saved snapshots are stored in the following directories.

Note: If you installed the Management Server in the C:\Program Files\Forcepoint\SMC directory in Windows, some program data might be stored in the C:\ProgramData\Forcepoint\SMC directory.

Steps

  1. Right-click an Secure SD-WAN Engine, then select Monitoring > <view type>.
    Tip: If the Drill-downs pane is open, you can also select Monitoring > <view type> from there.
  2. To select the entries for the snapshot, click Pause.
    The system automatically creates a temporary snapshot of the currently displayed entries. The name of the temporary snapshot is displayed on the Snapshots tab in the Query pane. The temporary snapshot is automatically deleted.
  3. Click Save.
  4. Enter a name for the snapshot, then click OK.
    The name of the snapshot is displayed on the Snapshots tab in the Query pane.

Connections Snapshot Properties dialog box

Use this dialog box to save a snapshot of open connections.

Option Definition
Name Specifies a name for the snapshot.

Block list Snapshot Properties dialog box

Use this dialog box to save a snapshot of block list entries.

Option Definition
Name Specifies a name for the snapshot.

SD-WAN SAs Snapshot Properties dialog box

Use this dialog box to save a snapshot of active SD-WAN SAs.

Option Definition
Name Specifies a name for the snapshot.

SSL VPNs Snapshot Properties dialog box

Use this dialog box to save a snapshot of SSL VPNs.

Option Definition
Name Specifies a name for the snapshot.

Users Snapshot Properties dialog box

Use this dialog box to save a snapshot of active users.

Option Definition
Name Specifies the user's name.

Routing Snapshot Properties dialog box

Use this dialog box to save a snapshot of an engine's routing.

Option Definition
Name Specifies the snapshot name.
