Installing Forcepoint Security Engine on a virtualization platform

You can install the Security Engine software as a virtual machine on virtualization platforms such as VMware ESX or KVM.

The same Security Engine software can be used in the Security Engine with Layer 3 Interfaces, IPS role, or Layer 2 Engine role. The engine role is selected during the initial configuration of the engine.
