Add IP Address for the APN Interface

You can add IPv4 Address or IPv6 Address for the APN Interface.

Note: You must add at least one dynamic IPv4 address, or one IPv6 address, or both.

Steps

  1. Right-click a Single Engine and select Edit Single Engine.

    The Engine Editor opens.

  2. In the navigation pane on the left, select Interfaces.

    The Interfaces pane opens on the right.

  3. Do one of the following:
    • If no IPv4 Address or IPv6 Address is added to the APN interface, right-click the APN Interface, and then select New > IPv4 Address or IPv6 Address.
    • If an IPv4 Address or IPv6 Address is already added to the APN interface and you want to add more IP Addresses, right-click the APN Interface, and then select New IPv4 Address or New IPv6 Address.
  4. Define the IP Address properties.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Click Save and Refresh.

Use this dialog box to configure IP Address properties for the APN interface.

Option Definition
Dynamic Index The Dynamic index is a number for your own reference to identify the DHCP interface.
Contact Addresses section
Default Used by default when a component that belongs to another Location connects to this server.
Exceptions Allows you to define exceptions to the default contact address. Opens the Exceptions dialog box.
Comment

(Optional)

A comment for your own reference.
Automatic Default Route Enables the automatic creation of a default route for the interface.
