ID Description
BG-16745 Cloud SWG - Cloud SWG solution enables web traffic filtering when a SmartEdge agent cannot be deployed on the end user's machine, such as for Guest users or IoT devices or when the organization does not want to deploy an agent.

In order to filter the web traffic, the Cloud SWG routes the customer web traffic from one or more location(s) over a tunnel to the Forcepoint cloud, where SWG functionality is implemented. The Cloud SWG implements a transparent proxy meaning that a PAC file is not required on the end user devices to forward traffic to it. The Cloud SWG solution supports GRE and IPsec modes of tunneling.

To configure Cloud SWG Solution, you need to configure the following:

  1. Create Traffic Types under Protect > Objects > Traffic Types page.
  2. Create subnets under Protect > Objects > Custom Locations page.
  3. Create IPsec or GRE tunnels under Protect > Objects > Sites page.
  4. Monitor the status of the tunnels under Analyze > Tunnels page.
  5. Configure the Edge devices using the details from Analyze > Tunnels page.
  6. Set the Cloud SWG Idle Session Timeout, Cloud SWG Certificate Authority and Bypass Domains, Host IPs or Subnets under the Protect > Forward Proxy > Settings page.
  7. Configure the SWG Connection Policy, Cloud SWG Authentication Policy and SWG Content Policy under Protect > Policies to filter the web traffic, to apply contextual access controls and inline DLP to managed applications.
Note: Cloud SWG feature is available only with the Forcepoint ONE Web or Cloud Edition. Reach out to your account representative for provisioning.

Enhanced Dashboard - The Dashboard located under Analyze is migrated to a new visualization platform with enhanced drill-down capabilities. The enhanced Dashboard section contains the following dashboards under it:

  • Data Security
  • Threat
  • SWG Web Browsing
  • SWG Enterprise Apps
Note: The SWG Web Browsing and SWG Enterprise Apps dashboards have been moved from Analyze > Discovery > SWG.
BG-12568 Discovery Report - Customers can sanction applications that they are already aware of under Analyze > Discovery > Reports > Report Details > Investigate page so that those applications do not appear in the report/dashboard. This allows the customers to discover newer applications that they are unaware of. Additionally, customers can also add comments and tags to applications within the App DB for the purpose of administration and troubleshooting.
