Dedicated IP

Forcepoint dedicated IP address is an add-on feature that routes the customer's web traffic through Forcepoint cloud, ensuring the traffic egress via IP addresses exclusively assigned to a customer tenant by Forcepoint. These addresses are not shared with other customers, allowing admins to define advanced security configuration such as multi-factor authentication policies with their business partners and public or private cloud applications.

The configuration page displays a valid dedicated IP subscription and a list of IP addresses assigned to customer tenant along with their relevant Forcepoint data centers under Dedicated IP Addresses section.

It allows customers to control which target destinations has to use the service and egress traffic from the cloud service using their dedicated IP. Configuration supports the entry of domain names and IP addresses. Wildcards are supported for easy domain configuration. It is also possible to route all cloud processed traffic by entering a single * as the destination.

The assigned dedicated IP is used, if the:
  1. Customer has a valid dedicated IP subscription.
  2. Traffic is passing through the data center for which the IP is assigned.
  3. Target destination matches an entry in the configured list.
