Licensing Components

Licenses provide your system with a proof of purchase. The SMCaaS Application automatically handles licenses in the background.

You can log in to the SMCaaS Application and navigate to Administrator > Licenses to view the Proof-of-License (POL) codes. Using these codes, you can log on to the Forcepoint License Center and view and manage your licenses at: https://stonesoftlicenses.forcepoint.com.

Each Engine and the Master Engine node must be licensed separately. The Master Engine license determines the number of Virtual Engines it can host, with a maximum of 255 Virtual Engines per Master Engine.

Your license may limit the use of some individual features.

All licenses indicate the latest version for which they are valid and are valid on all earlier software versions up to the version indicated. With a valid support contract, licenses are automatically updated to the latest version possible for the Engines.

License upgrades are included in maintenance contracts. If the maintenance contract for the Engine expires, it will not be possible to upgrade the license to any newer version. Evaluation licenses are valid for 30 days.
