| Monitoring Probe
|
Define the probing method used to monitor and verify that the route to a network is available.
- Not Enabled — Route monitoring is not enabled.
- Next Hop Reachability — Tests that the link to the next hop router is up and that the router is responding.
- Ping — An ICMP echo message is sent to a host in the destination network to test that the network is available. Define the settings for the
ping test:
- IP Address — Define an IP Address (IPv4 or IPv6) in the destination network.
- Retry Count — Define the number of unsuccessful attempts to ping the IP address before removing the route. Valid values are 1–10, and
the default is 2.
- Interval — Define how frequently the IP address is pinged. Valid values are 100ms – 10000ms, and the default is 500ms.
