What is not included
Forcepoint DLP for Cloud Email focuses on outbound email protection without altering your email configurations or storing their data.
- It handles only external outbound email traffic and does not perform traditional email hygiene.
- It does not take any actions on the organization’s emails, such as block, allow, or quarantine them. Instead, it delegates the action back to organization’s email server (Microsoft Office 365 or Google Gmail), which provides a comprehensive suite of mail flow rules to act according to the Forcepoint DLP X-header recommendation.
- Configuration of the organization's Microsoft Office 365 servers will not be performed by Forcepoint. However, for more details refer to topic Configuring Forcepoint DLP for Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook).
- Configuration of the organization's Google Gmail servers will not be performed by Forcepoint. However, for more details refer to topic Configuring Forcepoint DLP for Google (Gmail).
- Forcepoint does not store your organization's emails in the cloud.
- This solution is limited to process emails that are 30 MB or smaller in size. Forcepoint is developing a way to handle larger emails in the future. It is recommended that customers use mail flow rules to prevent emails greater than 30MB from being sent.
