Exception Wizard - General

The General tab of the exception wizard displays the name of the policy and rule affected by the exception being created.

1. Enter a unique Exception name.
2. Indicate whether or not the new exception is Enabled.
3. Enter a helpful Description for the exception.
4. Enter a custom text in Confirmation dialog text.
   Note:

   • This text is displayed only when an action plan that uses the confirm action is selected.

     Refer the release notes for Endpoint release compatibility.

   • The character limit of custom text is 250 characters.
   • Only one link can be added to the custom message, and the syntax for adding the link is:

     <link>url="example.com" text="display text"</link>

5. Click Next to continue to the Properties page of the exception wizard (seeException Wizard - Properties section.)
