To add a single-node engine to the SMC, add a Single Engine element that stores the configuration information related to the engine.
Note: You can also create several Single Engine elements at the same time using the Create Multiple Single Engines wizard. For more information about creating several Single Engine elements at the

Steps

Select
Configuration.

Right-click Engines, then select .

In the Name field, enter a unique name.

From the Log Server drop-down list, select the Log Server for storing logs.

(Optional) In the DNS IP Addresses list, add one or more IP addresses.
The Secure SD-WAN Engine uses the DNS servers at these IP addresses to resolve malware signature mirrors, domain names, and web filtering categorization
services. There are two ways to define IP addresses:
- To enter an IP address, select , then enter the IP address.
- To use an element that represents an IP address, select , then select a Host or External DNS Server element.

(Optional) From the Location drop-down list, select the Location to which the Secure SD-WAN Engine belongs.

(Optional) If you have a Secure SD-WAN Engine appliance, copy and paste the proof-of-serial (POS) code delivered with the appliance to the
Proof-of-Serial field.
Using the POS code allows you to configure the Single Engine using plug and play configuration.

Save.
Do not close the Engine Editor.
