Configuring Long UserID for user authentication

Steps

  1. Select User Authentication.
  2. Click Authentication Servers.
  3. Right-click the existing LDAP Server element and select Properties.
  4. Click the Attributes tab.
  5. Specify the name of the attribute that is used as the Long UserID in the Long UserID field.
  6. Click the OK button.
  7. Configure the Engine properties:
    1. Select Engine.
    2. Browse to Engine > Engines.
    3. Right-click an <Engine>, then select Edit <Engine>.
    4. Browse to Advanced Settings > Authentication.
    5. Select the Allow Username Lookup Using Long UserID Attribute checkbox.
  8. (Optional) Configure the external Authentication domain element to allow users to login with alternative domain names without changing the account:
    1. Select User Authentication.
    2. Right-click the Authentication Domain, then select Properties.
    3. In the Additional Username Suffix section, specify additional name aliases to allow users to login with alternate domain names.
    4. Click the OK button.
  9. Refresh the policy.
