Configuring Long UserID for user authentication
Steps

Select
User Authentication.
- Click Authentication Servers.
- Right-click the existing LDAP Server element and select Properties.
- Click the Attributes tab.
- Specify the name of the attribute that is used as the Long UserID in the Long UserID field.
- Click the OK button.

Configure the Engine properties:
- Select
Engine. - Browse to Engine > Engines.
- Right-click an <Engine>, then select Edit <Engine>.
- Browse to Advanced Settings > Authentication.
- Select the Allow Username Lookup Using Long UserID Attribute checkbox.
- Select

(Optional) Configure the external Authentication domain element to allow users to login with alternative domain names without changing the account:
- Select
User Authentication. - Right-click the Authentication Domain, then select Properties.
- In the Additional Username Suffix section, specify additional name aliases to allow users to login with alternate domain names.
- Click the OK button.
- Select
- Refresh the policy.
