Enable Backup Unit

Use this task to configure a backup unit to ensure service continuity if the primary engine fails.

Steps

  1. Select Engine Configuration.
  2. Browse to Engine > Engines.
  3. Right-click an engine, then select Edit <element type>.
  4. In the navigation pane on the left, browse to Advanced Settings > High Availability.
  5. In the Backup Unit section, select the Enable checkbox.
  6. Enter the Proof of Serial (POS) of the appliance in the Proof of Serial for Pairing field.
  7. Click the Save button.
