Activate dynamic update packages

To introduce the changes from an imported dynamic update package, activate the dynamic update package in the SMCaaS Application.

Note: The SMCaaS Application verifies the digital signature of the dynamic update package before activating it. The signature must be valid for the activation to succeed. If the verification fails, an error message is shown.

Steps

  1. Select Administration.
  2. Browse to Updates.
  3. Right-click the imported dynamic update package, then select Activate.
    You are prompted to create a SMCaaS Application backup. We recommend that you create a SMCaaS Application backup before you activate the dynamic update package.

    The progress of the import and the items included are shown.

  4. When the activation is finished, click Close.
  5. Refresh the policy on all Engines.
    If your policy uses a custom template, you might need to edit the policy.
