Updating the agent manually

Updating the agent manually allows administrators to update the agent to a specific version of the agent as per required schedule.

When you manually update an agent to the latest version, you download the latest agent from the Forcepoint portal, then deploy it to your managed endpoints. The below procedure provides a high-level overview of the update steps. The full installation procedure is provided in the deploying the agent section of this document.

Steps

  1. Download the agent from the Forcepoint portal.
  2. Manually install the agent. For more information, see the deploying the agent section of this document.
    Note: You do not need to uninstall the earlier version of the Forcepoint agent before installing the latest version.
