Enabling or disabling over the air updates

Enable over the air updates so that all your managed endpoints are updated to the latest the agent version or to a specific version of the agent.

If you prefer to update your endpoints on demand or manually, then you can disable over the air updates. Updates are enabled (turned ON) by default.

Steps

  1. Go to Endpoint management > Profiles.
  2. Click on Default profile. Expand the section Over the air updates.
  3. Once over the air updates are tuned on for a platform, administrators can choose how they would like to get over the Air updates:
    • Selecting the Auto update to the latest available version option, silently installs the latest agent version of the agent on all the endpoints.
    • Selecting the Update to a specific agent version, updates the agent to the selected version on the endpoint.
  4. In the confirmation message box, click OK to confirm your selection.

Next steps

To check the update status, open the Endpoint management page and check the Status column. If the update failed, you will be able to download the log files by clicking the status to open the Details page, then clicking the ...and then selecting Download diagnostics option from the displayed menu.
