Setting up selective API scanning in Forcepoint ONE SSE

After you have setup the API, you can choose specific settings for what is getting scanned. This can be specific folders or even users. Setting options may differ based on the application.

Note:

Files that take longer than 15 seconds to be scanned will instead be skipped and logged in the API Dashboard event logs as Scan Timeout. Files may take longer than 15 seconds to be scanned due to various reasons including but not limited to the number of data patterns configured to be scanned for, the complexity of those data patterns, file type or size, etc.
When selecting to scan for Malware, Forcepoint ONE SSE will scan all files and folders for malware even if you limited the scan to only Public and External folders. This is because Forcepoint ONE SSE want to ensure there is no malware within your cloud application and will not limit the malware scan to only selected folders.
