Dual agent

If your organization uses both Forcepoint CASB and Forcepoint Web Security Cloud within the Forcepoint Data Security Cloud platform and you need to enable Proxy Connect mode for the Web Security Cloud agent use the following section. The platform supports both agent‑based and agentless deployments, giving you flexibility based on your environment.

When CASB and Web Security Cloud are used together on the same machine, the SmartEdge Agent (SEA) works alongside the F1E agent. Although F1E already supports Direct Connect mode, enabling Proxy Connect mode requires additional configuration to ensure traffic is steered correctly between the services. Before you begin, make sure your administrator has configured the required policies and deployment settings so that steering and enforcement work consistently across both CASB and Web Security.
