Introduction

Forcepoint Private Access is a cloud-based zero trust network access solution that provides secure, authenticated remote access to internal applications.

Private Access provides remote users with secure, zero trust access to internal applications, with granular policy rules applied to users and groups, allowing protected access to specific internal resources without requiring users to connect over a VPN. Users are identified and authenticated seamlessly using the Forcepoint Web Security Endpoint client or SAML-based single sign-on, in order to apply private access policy rules for specific users and groups, and to log user activity for reporting and monitoring purposes.

Cloud Security Gateway provides secure web gateway capabilities, cloud application control, and data loss prevention, while Private Access provides zero-trust network access to internal applications.
