Installing the Agent

This section outlines the steps to install the Forcepoint agent on a Windows endpoint system.

Note: Currently, the agent only supports a clean installation—i.e., installation on hosts that are not running Forcepoint F1E or F1A agents. If the host is running either of these agents, they must be removed before initiating the installation. If a previously installed agent is detected, the installation process will terminate automatically.

The installation procedure differs depending on whether you are deploying the agent for Cloud DLP or Hybrid DLP mode.
