Slack: Configuring API access
Forcepoint ONE SSE supports API scanning for various levels of Slack plans. For Standard/Plus Forcepoint ONE SSE supports API scanning for visibility and policy actions depending on which license you have for Slack (see below for info).
Follow the instructions below for enabling the API scan and configuring which workspaces are scanned and which DLP patterns are looked for. If you are looking to setup contextual access controls and DLP for Slack, refer to the guide page.
- Free/Standard/Plus: Scanning for visibility into files only in public channels or private channels that the admin/org owner has access to.
- Enterprise Grid: Scanning for visibility and policy actions across all channels (both public and private). Forcepoint ONE SSE can also support scanning for customers with Enterprise Select plans as well since these plans are similar to Enterprise Grid but for only one workspace.
Note: The admin account being used in the Forcepoint ONE SSE portal to setup
the API must be at least an Org Owner and not a standard Role Admin. If you are using a Role Admin account the setup will not be completed successfully.
