Overview

SMC as a Service includes one engine license by default. Additional engine licenses can be purchased and downloaded through Forcepoint Sales and the License Center.

When you purchase an SMC as a Service license, one engine license is provided by default. If your deployment requires additional engine licenses, you must procure them separately through Forcepoint Sales and then download the corresponding software from the Forcepoint License Center.

The overall process involves the following stages:

  1. Contacting Forcepoint Sales to purchase an engine license.
  2. Accessing the Forcepoint Customer Hub to retrieve your order details.
  3. Retrieving your POS and POL license numbers.
  4. Managing your licenses in the Forcepoint License Center.
  5. Downloading and importing the license file into SMC.
Note: For SMC as a Service, only the POL license number is available. Both POS and POL numbers are available only for appliances.
