The SMC as a Service provides centralized access for configuring, managing, logging, and monitoring NGFWs that secure network connectivity and control business operations.
Create a new single engine on the SMC as a Service dashboard and enter its initial configuration details.
Configure the IP address properties for Interface #0 as a dynamic DHCP interface.
Enable the DHCPv4 server on Interface #2 and define its address range, gateway, and lease settings.
Verify the routing configuration for both the external (Interface 0) and internal (Interface 2) network interfaces.
Configure Network Address Translation (NAT) to conceal the engine's IP address from external networks.
Bind an available software license to the newly created engine from the Administration panel.
Select a default security policy and download the engine.cfg file for USB-based policy deployment.
