Manual updates for the agent allows your administrators to update specific managed endpoints on your schedule.
When you manually update an endpoint to the latest version of the agent, you download the latest agent from the cloud portal, then deploy it to your managed endpoints. The below
procedure provides a high-level overview of the update steps. The full installation procedures are provided in the installation sections of this chapter.
Steps

Download the agent from the management portal.

Manually install and deploy the agent using your preferred deployment tool (such as MECM or Jamf). See the installation procedures installation sections of this chapter.
Note: You do not need to uninstall the earlier version of the agent before installing the latest version on your endpoints.
