General flow

To fully integrate Forcepoint DLP and Forcepoint Data Security Cloud | SSE CASB, complete the following steps:

Steps

  1. (On FSM) Ensure that the DLP Cloud Applications license is activated. For details, see License Information section.
  2. Ensure that your network is configured to enable connectivity between the FSM and the Forcepoint Data Security Cloud | SSE service. For details, see Firewall and network access prerequisites section.
  3. (On FSM) Connect to the Data Protection Service. For details, see Connect Data Protection Service in the Forcepoint Security Manager section.
  4. (On Forcepoint Data Security Cloud | SSE) For configurations on Forcepoint Data Security Cloud | SSE, see Step4: Upload DPS license JSON on Forcepoint Data Security Cloud | SSE.
  5. (On FSM) Update the Forcepoint Data Security Cloud | SSE URL in the Forcepoint Security Manager SQL database. For details, see Step5: Update the Forcepoint Data Security Cloud | SSE URLs in the FSM SQL database section.
Note: You can skip this step if you are using the Forcepoint Data Security Cloud | SSE Commercial Cloud to connect to Forcepoint Data Security Cloud | SSE CASB.
  6. (On FSM) Connect to the Forcepoint Data Security Cloud | SSE CASB service to retrieve the list of cloud applications from Forcepoint Data Security Cloud | SSE CASB. For details, see Step6: Activate the connection with Forcepoint Data Security Cloud | SSE CASB on the FSM.
  7. (On FSM) View list of cloud applications available for Forcepoint Data Security Cloud | SSE CASB. For details see, Step7: View the list of cloud applications.
  8. (On FSM) Configure the Forcepoint DLP policy to work on specific application traffic attached to the Forcepoint Data Security Cloud | SSE CASB system. For details, see Step8: Configure DLP policies for cloud applications on the FSM.
  9. (On Forcepoint Data Security Cloud | SSE) Configure Quarantine or Create Copy Locations for Forcepoint FSM controlled API Policies. For details, see Step9: Configure quarantine or create copy locations for FSM controlled API policies.
Note: This step is required only if you are setting up cloud applications to scan data at rest (API setup).
  10. (On Forcepoint Data Security Cloud | SSE) Configure DLP policies for cloud applications in the Forcepoint Data Security Cloud | SSE. For details, refer to Step10: Configure DLP policies for cloud applications in the Forcepoint Data Security Cloud | SSE.
  11. (On FSM) View Forcepoint DLP incident details in the FSM. For details, see Step11: View Forcepoint DLP incidents on the FSM.
