General flow
Steps
- (On FSM) Ensure that the DLP Cloud Applications license is activated. For details, see License Information section.
- Ensure that your network is configured to enable connectivity between the FSM and the Forcepoint ONE SSE service. For details, see Firewall and network access prerequisites section.
- (On FSM) Connect to the Data Protection Service. For details, see Connect Data Protection Service in the Forcepoint Security Manager section.
- (On Forcepoint ONE SSE) For configurations on Forcepoint ONE SSE, see Step4: Upload DPS license JSON on Forcepoint ONE SSE.

(On FSM) Update the Forcepoint ONE SSE URL in the Forcepoint Security Manager SQL database. For
details, see Step5: Update the Forcepoint ONE SSE URLs in the FSM SQL database section.
Note: You can skip this step if you are using the Forcepoint ONE SSE Commercial Cloud to connect to Forcepoint ONE SSE CASB.
- (On FSM) Connect to the Forcepoint ONE SSE CASB service to retrieve the list of cloud applications from Forcepoint ONE SSE CASB. For details, see Step6: Activate the connection with Forcepoint ONE SSE CASB on the FSM.
- (On FSM) View list of cloud applications available for Forcepoint ONE SSE CASB. For details see, Step7: View the list of cloud applications.
- (On FSM) Configure the Forcepoint DLP policy to work on specific application traffic attached to the Forcepoint ONE SSE CASB system. For details, see Step8: Configure DLP policies for cloud applications on the FSM.

Note: This step is required only if you are setting up cloud applications to scan data at rest (API setup).
