General flow
Steps
- (On FSM) Ensure that the DLP Cloud Applications license is activated. For details, see License Information section.
- Ensure that your network is configured to enable connectivity between the FSM and the Forcepoint Data Security Cloud | SSE service. For details, see Firewall and network access prerequisites section.
- (On FSM) Connect to the Data Protection Service. For details, see Connect Data Protection Service in the Forcepoint Security Manager section.
- (On Forcepoint Data Security Cloud | SSE) For configurations on Forcepoint Data Security Cloud | SSE, see Step4: Upload DPS license JSON in Forcepoint Data Security Cloud | SSE.

(On FSM) Update the Forcepoint Data Security Cloud | SSE URLs in the FSM SQL database. For details, see Step5: Update the Forcepoint Data Security Cloud | SSE URLs on the FSM SQL database section.
Note: You can skip this step if you are using the Forcepoint Data Security Cloud | SSE Commercial Cloud to connect to Forcepoint Data Security Cloud | SSE.
