Architecture overview
Forcepoint DSPM can be deployed on a Linux virtual machine (VM) or a physical server. It runs in a Kubernetes (K3s) cluster, which is used to manage the applications. Rancher manages the K3s cluster from the back end. Keycloak is then used to manage the user authentication and authorization.
The Forcepoint DSPM components work in unison to provide visibility and control of your data located on- premises and across cloud locations. This establishes a secure data posture that limits the risk of data breaches and non-compliance with privacy regulations.
Primary Components
- Rancher: Rancher is a container management platform that assists with deploying, managing, monitoring, and scaling containers in a K3s environment.
- K3s: K3s is a lightweight and simplified version of Kubernetes which manages containerized applications.
- Keycloak: Keycloak is used to manage user identification and control access to applications and resources.
