Creating a new user account

To get the Secret Access Key, you will need to create a new user at which point you can download the key and retain for future uses.

Steps

  1. Login to the Amazon AWS console and navigate to Services > Security, Identity, & Compliance > IAM > Users and then click Add Users.

  2. Create the User with a given name and select Access Key - Programmatic Access for the Select AWS credential type.

  3. When done with the selection, click Next: Premissions.
  4. On the Set Permissions page, select Attach existing policies directly and then search for the name of your policy and select it.

  5. Once done with the selection, click Next: Tags. Skip adding tags by clicking Next: Review unless you want to tag the user.
  6. On the Review page, you see the Access Key ID and click Show to view the Secret Access Key. Copy these down to be used in the Forcepoint ONE SSE configuration.

  7. If there are no changes to be made, click Create user. The user gets created.
