Removing the agent on Windows

Removing the agent on Windows endpoints manually needs a release code.

Request a release code from the administrator before you can uninstall the agent. See section Generating the release code.
You can uninstall the agent in the following ways:
  • Using Control Panel
  • Using the command-line interface

During uninstall, the agent attempts to set the status of the endpoint on the Endpoint management screen in the portal to uninstalled. The agent can then be manually removed from the Endpoint management portal.

Note: If the endpoint is unable to reach the portal during uninstall, then the status will not be updated. In this case the endpoint can be manually removed from the portal once it shows as Offline.
