Deploying the package in Jamf

This section outlines the instructions to deploy the installer package using Jamf.

1. Create the package:
   1. Open Jamf Pro, enter the administrator name and password, and then click Log in.
   2. Go to Settings > Computer management > Packages.

      

   3. Click the New icon to open the New package dialog.

      

   4. In Display name, enter the package name and use Drop file here or browse for a file options to upload the DSEInstaller zip file, and then click Save.
2. Create the script:
   1. Go to Settings > Computer management > Scripts.
      
   2. Click the New icon to open the New Script dialog.

      

   3. On the General tab, in Display Name, enter the script name.
   4. On the Script tab, enter the following script:

      #Calls the installer and installs it to the root of the dirve which is the default
      
      installer -pkg /tmp/WebsenseEndpoint.pkg -target /

      

   5. In the Options tab, enter the following:
      1. In Priority, select After.
      2. In Parameter 4, enter the installer package name; DSEInstaller.zip.

         

   6. Click Save.
3. Create the policy and add the package and script:
   1. Go to Computers > Policies.

      

   2. Click the New icon to open the New Policy dialog.

      

   3. On the General tab, in Display Name, enter a name for your policy.

      

   4. In Trigger, select Network State Change.
   5. To add the packages to the policy, click the Packages option, and then click Configure under Configure Packages.

      

   6. Search for the DSEInstaller package and click Add.

      

   7. In Action, select Cache.

      

   8. To add the script to the policy, click the Scripts option, and then click Configure under Configure Scripts.

      

   9. Search for the script you created and click Add.
4. Add the scope to the policy:
   1. Go to the Scope tab.

      

   2. Under Targets, click Add next to your target machine.

      

   3. Click Save.
5. Complete the deployment:
   1. Go to Computers > Policies, and then select your policy.

      

   2. Click Logs, and then click Flush.

      

   3. To complete the agent installation, the endpoint machine needs to be logged off and logged back in again.
      The Forcepoint Agent installation will begin in a few seconds and will take a couple of minutes to complete.

      To validate, log in to Forcepoint Data Security Cloud and observe that your machine is running and view the endpoint details in the Details pane.
